Been trying now for a month to find seals for hydraulic cylinders on a frontloader on a '43 farmall H. Can't even find replacement cylinders. The cylinder bore only is 3" ID and the tube only is 30". Shaft is 1 1/4". Over length, center hole to center hole is 50". I can find the v wiper set but not the piston boot (they can custom make it for $200.00+). The cylinders are marked with an IH emblem cast into them and stamped 650599-R3. Can't even find a trace of info on the web about these guys. I'd prefer to find a seal set, but would buy entire cylinders if I had to. They're single action cylinders. Am I out of business?

John

Send an email to bhershey@hoober.com or call 1-800-732-0017 and ask for farm equipment parts, they have garden tractors too. They had parts for the U-34B and U-35A loaders in Jan 2005. May have some kits for your loader. Hal

Call Ken Updike at Carter & Gruenwald. When I needed to do the same job on my loader he had the parts on the shelf. You can find Carter & Gruenwald by doing a search on the internet. The parts are something like $25 each and are easy to install.

Hope this helps, Bob

Bob;

Thanks for the suggestion. I've got an email out to them. If that goes nowhere, I'll give Ken Updike a call and see if he can help. I really appreciate the help.

Thanks a bunch
John

Jeeze I had mine done for 20.00 a piece. The hydrolic shop replaced the old leather with new neaprene or something like that. Then they machined two aluminum or steel pucks to push them. Real easy job for someone that knows what they are doing. JON

JON;

Wish it were that easy. Been dancing around the net trying to find seals that would work with no luck. Shops around here tell me that seals are not available, but can be custom made for a minor appendage and part of a major one (arm and a leg).

Thanks a bunch
John
