Brought in 2 1100# steers to locker. Angus /simmental cross. Not fatty, corn fed out. What would be a proper price to ask per pound hanging weight. I am in central MN. buyers are freinds.

Todays quoted price for box beef (hanging) paid to the cattle man by the processor was $1.45 in the midwest. This is the carcass price and would NOT include any cutting/wraping, etc..

Hope this helps.

If I am one of your friends then I think it should be free!! LOL. Seriously, is there any way you can calculate how much it has cost you to get the steers to this point? Might also want to check the going price at a slaughter plant. I realize you probably don't care if you make a profit, but you can't be losing either.

The last ones I bought were about 7 years ago and I paid I believe $1.50 straight through cut and wrapped Give or take a quarter. And that was grain feed from my brother. I know beef has gone up alot since then. I remember saying thats alot for burger but then again that was some pretty cheap steaks. Yum Yum Probly double that at least these days. JON
