How does one check the proper fluid level in an M transmission? She also wants to pop out in 5th gear. Any suggestions

There is a level plug on the left side of the transmission. Pull it out. If oil trickles out, it's full. If LOTS of oil runs out, the tranny is full of water and needs to be flushed and refilled with new oil. If no oil runs out, add IH HyTran or equivalent through the big plug on top of the platform until it trickles out the level plug hole.

ive never heard of hytrans oil in the rear end of an M..should be 85/90
