I have a big hyd leak coming from my steering sector. I was told that there is a boot somewhere towards the top of the sector that is the problem. Could it be this boot or is there a seal up there also. Stops leaking after the fluid is hot and steering wheel has been cycled some. Also on the lower left side of three pitch arm, there is a slight drip. Can't tell whats behind the arm.

That drip by your three point arm is a bad seal on the draft sensing torsien bar. To fix it you have to drain the rear end, then pull the pto, and sensing arm, then remove the three point arms and j brackets and pull out the tortion bars. There are three orings in there and make sure you inspect the bushings that support the bars. Get yourself a repair manual if you tear into it.

If your talken about the steering motor then more then likely it is the seal under the steering wheel and is such and easy fix . The hardest part is getting the steering wheel off ya need two 1/4x 5 fine thread bolts a steering wheel puller and a pair of snap ring pliers a 1 1/8 socket and a 12 inch creset wrench . After the wheel is off remove the snap ring and put the wheel back on with out the nut give a sharp or quick turn either way and the old seal should pop wright out. repalce the seal and put it back togeather . Now if it is the big flat rubber seal or as some call it the boot then it gets a littel more detailed.
