Okay, I'm about to re-condition the hydrolic unit on this 100. Y'all got any tips I need to know before, during, or after I do this deed. I got all the O rings from the dealership (what a rip-off) and cleaned up and re-painted the outside of the unit (heavy little sucker). I think I got enough sense to do it on a clean place and I've read somewhere to use Vaseline on the o-rings. Do I need to flush it all out with some sort of solvent? Or, in general, what is it that I don't know that will cause me to screw this up?
Thanks in advance.

Dont fret over the price of the "O" rings as they are high pressure rings and while more expensive that general purpose "O" rings will withstand the high pressure of the hydraulic system. Cheaper rings will slip right in, but you"ll be tearing the system back down as soon as they blow apart. You actually saved money and time by doing it right and getting the proper "O" rings in the first place.

The main thing with hydraulics is cleanliness. Make sure all parts are clean. Use a clean white or light colored cloth on your work bench. That lets you see all components easily. Vaselene is used to hold o-rings or seals in place and as a lube. If you don't need to hold them, use oil.Don't force anything.
It's hard to troubleshoot dirt.

It's no big deal. Just use hydraulic fluid, or even motor oil on the o-rings, just to keep from damaging them during installation. If you flush it with whatever -- I use parts cleaner on about everything, just make sure you get it all out. Blow it out good with compressed air. I do not use sealer on the "head" gasket on mine, IMO too much chance of getting it in one of the may openings. Torque the head to the proper spec, I don't remember the number.
