How many forward gears did the F series tractors have? Did any of them have a road gear? Approx. what portion came on rubber? Thanks, Glenn F.

The F20 and F30 have 4 speed transmissions, the F12 and F14 have 3. Rubber caught on about 1936 so many or most of the tractors after that came out that way. There was an option for a high speed 4th, (about 6 MPH) [high speed 3rd on F12] But realy not a road gear as we think of it today. High speed F12s are kind of hard to find but F20s more common. I have a 1939 F20 that has been field converted to the high speed transmission.
