When Im running down the black top I can only run half throtle cause the Farmall 460 wobbels so bad. Ive loosend and tightend the wedge bolts so many times Im bout to give up. Im cursed cause my 706 did it to after new tires. The 460 has long / short bar tires and the axel clamps are tightend evenly. HELP, PLEASE.

Ive basicly done everything you guys have suggested several times but with no improvment. Ive never seen wheel weights on tractor before but would that help. Im being nit picky because I travel on black top road to a few mowing jobs and theirs a club tractor ride comeing up in three weeks. Thanks to all for input, Ill try it again before I give up and take F20.

What brand of tires do you have? Mine are good year! Like I said I have new rims, adjusted about 12 to 15 times and no luck. Going down the road I watch them wobble a little it is the tire not the wheel.

You may have reject or seconds tires! I must have a set on my 806. I tried and tried to set them all different ways. Finally I got them close and finally said it's just a tractor. I have new rims on it so it was not the rims.

Have you checked to see that you have all the clamps facing the correct way? Real easy to install some backwards.

old's got it exactly right. Jack it up and loosen and tighten the rim-to-wheel bolts until the tire is no more than 1/4" away from the block at any point. It takes a little work but it can be done.

Heres an old truckers trick. You need an impact gun to start with. Jack the wheel up till it spins free. Then lay a block next to the tire and loosen all the clamps a little. Now turn the tire and every place it hits or get near the block tighten up that place a little and just keep going around a few times till its right. You need the block tall enough to get a good look at whats happening and you may need to push it up to the tire a few time.

Also you need equal distance between the rim and the cast center, all the way around.
