I have an F10 loader on a 49 M

First I don't know a thing about it except what I've picked up here on some previous posts.

As far as working, this loader does fine but not so good with scouping dirt. The loader appears to be very strong.

Anyhow,
I was pushing some dirt around (not alot- squaring off a little slope with one side of the bucket) in the front of my house. During that time the lower left side (near the bucket) started to leak hydraulic fluid. It was coming out pretty consistant. I haven't really used it since then but it still works fine.

Where do I begin and how would start to take it a part to find the leak and make sure I don't create some hard luck with the loader.

Thank you in advance-

Hey Guy,

This is probably the simplest repair that you'll ever do.

Set your bucket on a couple of 15 gal oil barrels 'er something.

One at a time, pull the pin out of the ram/front cross member and let the arm down on an upside down bucket or some such thing.

I haven't done one in 30 some years, but as I recall, there is a 3/8" short bolt thru a collar at the forward end of the cylinder. Loosen it until the collar clears and then just pull that ram clear outta the cylinder.

Replace that leather and reinforcement spring at the other end of the ram and slide it all back together.

Probably 10 minutes tops on each side.
