Wayne, I replaced mine about 2 months ago. Used (2)National # 470169 Seals. They make up the same depth as the original and 2 have to be better than one.

Just take the seal to NAPA. They will match it up. It won't look the same because they don't make'em like they did 60 years ago but they got a parts book that list farmall Hs. I just got an oil seal for my 47 H's belt pulley last week from NAPA.

Wayne, the serial no's. for 1942 H's cover the range of 93237 - 122589 according to Guy Fay's Tractor Data Book. There is a change in the PTO's for the H's beginning with s/n 118000. Per my H parts catalog the oil seal part no's. prior to the change are 59401D and 358790R1 which are optional to each other, and after the change at s/n 118000 the no's are: 45702D, 358772R91 and 358812R91 which are also listed as being optional to each other. These are the part no's. for the part at the back end of the PTO shart identified as the "PTO shaft oil seal" in my parts catalog. Hope this helps. Hal

Replaced the same seal this summer. Can't find the part number. Pulled the old seal and it had a c/n part number so got one at the local parts store, went to the local case/ih dealer and order the factory correct part number a week later and twice the money to find out it was the same seal
