I have a IH 340 utility that i just purchased and it has a Kosch steering wheel on it. From discussion forums that I have looked at that is apparently not an uncommon aftermarket add-on to a lot of tractors. I need to get it off to do some work under the dash. The only thing I see holding it is what appears to be a large bolt down through the center of it. I have chained the flywheel to the loader frame and had a 3/4" drive socket and handle with a cheater bar and can't budge it in either direction. Im sure something is going to snap first. Is is just rusted that solid or is there a secret to removing them? If I get it off I hope that I can replace it with an original replacement. I am hoping that when this one was installed they didn't damage the original shaft, spline and threads. Any help would be appreciated. You need not reply unless you have had experience with these. I have had other "helpful suggestions" that weren't much help. Thank you.
