Years ago when my father grew tobacco, he had a device called a creeper gear that was installed on his Super A to slow down the forward speed enough to pull a tobacco harvester at the correct speed. I remember him saying that the fromt cultivators needed to be taken off and the device was hooked up to the pto. I believe the pto was put in gear to move the tractor forward but the regular tansmission stayed in neutral. Has anyone heard or know any details. We live in SE NC so it was used for flue cured tobacco. Thanx

They were called hydra-creeper drive. A hydraulic motor drove the PTO shaft via the hydraulic pump. The clutch had to be blocked down.
