Is anybody going to this auction? Supposed to be 90 running IH tractors. I won't be going as I am in MA. I would be interested in what the SMTA w/Electrall goes for. I hope someone will post sale prices.

This is just a few from memory. Dad wrote down quite a few but he has the list.

I think the '54 Super M-TA with generator went for close to $8k. I don't think anything sold for under 1k the '37 WD40 went for 12-13K.

They had a Farmall H 1939 SN 1242 that was bid up to 4k. I am really not sure why this one was so high.

1949 Cub that was restored and if I recall it was a good job. It sold for little over 5k.

1937 W-40 fairly good orig. Still had clear orig logos. I think it went for about $8k.

1946 W-4 good condition about 4k.

1928 Regular restored - $1200

1927 10-20 about $1900

The 47 and 34 Orchard Tractors also brought a hefty price.

If you want an exact price on any let me know and I will check our list or try to find out if we missed it.

Thanks for the report. How many bidder numbers were registered?

I think the SMTA/Electrall sold for around $2500 about five years ago.

I don't recall the number, but I was number 268 and arrived an hour late on day 1.

i previewed all the tractors last week, mostly a bunch of poorly painted off the farm tractors, poor restorations...not worth anyones time unless you want an electral mta..

Maybe I should have gone -- I don't like restored tractors, anyway. I would rather do them myself.

I believe there are people from this site going. I only live 200 miles from there, but I bought two tractors in the last 16 months or so, so I have to stay away. Wouldn't be able to afford the prices those are going to bring anyway. I did buy my last tractor from that particular auction business, they are a good outfit. If no one posts, I'm sure you could call them and find out what it sold for. They are computerized. The auction site was on local TV on the news tonight, has to be the biggest tractor auction this part of the country has seen.

That SMTA is probably the same one that Mike Bunch from Steel Wheel Ranch saw being sold at an auction a few years ago. He said the Electrall was not separated from the tractor and the combo unit did not fetch a premium price.

That guy in NE (I think) will probably wind up with it. He has about a dozen Electralls but no side mount units. He was featured in Red Power Mag awhile back.
