We have a 300 that blew up a few years back and we put an H engine in it with the crater pistons. We put the 300 carb on the H engine and it made it run better, but an M carb is bigger

Other than carb # on tag main differance you see looking at them is 300 has choke lever on engine side and the idle air adjust screw in different place.Inside the 300 has a smaller venture and different fuel mettering.

300 and H basically use the same size carb, the M uses a larger carb, Same as a W-6 and U-6 power units.

The Super H and 300 are about the same, and the Super H has about the same carburetor as the M and Super M.

I believe the carbs will interchange, but I do not know if there are any differences inside the carbs. The 300 carb may have a smaller main jet, or maybe not. I would think the differences would be very slight.
