Are drawbar bolts for a Cub rare, or why is this Ebay auction for (4) 1" bolts over $50? Item #7544678714 Are they a special size/shoulder/etc...?

I just bought a Cub for my brother and think I should have "borrowed" the drawbar bolts from it before I gave it to him :-)

I haven't seen that particular listing on e-bay, but I suspect the bolts may be the original IH dot head bolts which are no longer available. If you were doing an authentic restoration of a Farmall cub then you would probably be more willing to pay big dollars for those bolts. If all you are interested in is function then you are much better off with new bolts from Case-IH or wherever. I always put function first.

I've seen a Pez dispenser sell for $1400 on EBay.
People sometimes have more dollars then sense.

The implement mounting bolts have a tapered shoulder. Standard bolts with a flat shoulder will allow the implement to work loose. They are still available from Case IH for around $3 - $4 each. You can buy them used from salvage yards for about a buck apiece.
Those e-bay auctions amaze me too.

The 1/2X13 cap screws and nuts are very common
and are available from NAPA or Home Depot. I would use grade 8 bolts. We have some stores that specialize just in bolts and screws. Hal

It's gotten so I don't even think about the "why" anymore... I just shake my head, mutter, "Sucker," and move on.

The bolts have a tapered shoulder. Available from the Case IH dealer for around $2.50 each,

Gene
