Got my axle bearings, transmission and everything back together yesterday evening, drove it about ten minutes listening to the gears, and the fan started making noises and smoking from back of the bearing... Sometimes it seems like you just chase bugs from one side to the other and try to whiz on the biggest fires in a never ending quest... Matt.

Reminds me of mechanic that used to work on our Ms when Dad could not get to them. He always said when we picked them up that he had them ready to breakdown again and they always did sometimes soon usually later.

Matt, Just out of curiousity, you didnt overtighten that fan belt did you? Dont need much tension to run the generator.
