What is the compression psi for a Farmall H, gas head, origional pistons and rings from factory? I tried to find it in the shop manuals and had no luck. Thanks!!

The compression for an H is as follows: Gas = 120; Distillate = 95; Gas w/Firecrater pistons = 145 & Distillate w/Flat Top pistons = 95.

My manual doesn't list that cylinder compression,
but I think your engine should be from 90 to 100psi. The main thing to do is to compare your readings. They should be within 10-15lbs of one another. If three cylinders read 95 and one reads 45 isn't too good or if three read 95 and one reads 145 is usually a carbon buildup on this cylinder. Take your compression test and see what you have and if it looks odd, post it on here. Hal
