I just finished removing the Schwartz wfe from my 54 SMTA. Before installing reurbished NFE I cleaned up the mounting plate and adjacent frame area. I could not see any stops for the bolster. On the H I have there are stops up in there and one mounting bolt(rt front) has a tall head to keep the assembly from rotating 360 degrees. Is the SMTA engineered to ratate 360? Anyone want a Schwartz wfe or parts from it?

Went out and looked again. Ran my fingers around the casting all around. Did not find any stops, but did find some wasps/hornets up in there and now the index finger and knuckle on my left hand looks like I'm wearing large winter glove. Could the "all short bolts" on the Schwartz have worn off the casting stops if the axle stops were not set properly?

Been awile but I think the bolt with the extended head goes into the right rear hole in the lower bolster to stop the front end from turning 360 degrees.

To lazy to go out and look, but isn't the "stop" just part of the casting? -- Turn until the long bolt hits it?

CNKS: You are right, the stops are just part of the casting, but it requires the bolt with long head in one position. Someone must have replaced that bolt when installing that Schwartz front end.
