Can someone tell me where I can get details of how cultivators are set up on a Farmall 404 tractor with narrow front. I have the cultivators but do not know how they should be set up on the tractor. The tractor has the belly hydraulics.
thanks, Jerry

Jerry,

What brand and model of cultivator do you have? I would assume it is a fast hitch or three point hitch style?

The tractor has a regular three point lift but I don't see any bars to attach them to the three point.

Do you have a picture of that cultivator?

I think I could mount one up in my sleep, but there are many different makes and models. :>)

Allen, I appreciate the input. I have never done this so I don't have any knowledge of how it should be set up. The plows and shanks appeared to have been blue in color. The tractor came with plows and cultivators from the factory but I'm not sure these are the originals. The 404 has the underneathe hydraulics, three point, and remoe hydraulics. Do you know where I can get a manual for the set up. A picture of any setup would help.
thanks, Jerry

Jrry: Having read all discussion between you and Allan, I somehow get the feeling you guys are not discussing the same item. My question is, are these cultivators rear mounted 3 point hitch model, or what is refered to as a front or center mount cultivator. That question just kept nagging at me. Give us the answer to that, may speed the process.

If you can't post a photo, then got to the implement section of YT photo gallery, type in either front mount cultivator or rear mount cultivator and search. This could help you. Let us know what you discover.

Hugh, I did a search and the closest one I could find that looks similar to mine is a front mount set up on a farmall 450. I will try to attach photo. The one in the photo does not appear to have hydraulic lift as mine does but the parts look similar. My cultivators are in pieces however.
thanks, Jerry
