I just heard that here in Ohio they are talking about taking the gas tax off for 3 months. That's like .28 a gal. Every little bit helps

My experience is that the oil companies tend to price their gasoline at a certain level, including taxes. I would bet that this only gives the oil companies a chance to pocket even more per gallon, at your State"s expense.

Enjoy your potholes - you'll have them for a while.

Gas tax here is listed right on the pumps - 46% of pump price. At CAD$1.07/liter, that works out to US$4.41/USgallon. 46% of that is US$2.03/gal. "They" say it's supposed to go to road maintenance, but in reality, nothing is spent on any highway other than the TransCanada. Where I live it's so bad that we have 60kph (40mph) speed limits on a major highway because thwe potholes are so bad. I's just a cash grab by government to pay for their pensions.

I don't know where you are at, but right across the line from me is Manitoba. There is way more population in southern Manitoba than there is in Northern North Dakota, but our roads, while not great, are in way better shape. Some of your paved roads are so bad that they would be better off if they were returned to gravel.

That would be great!! Even better if all the taxes were removed.
