Still 2.29 a gallon here for regular, 2.64 for premium, 1.80 for diesel, and we´re paying 1.44 for our Jet-A.

Time to vote all the politicians out and start over. The oil industry uses any excuse to raise prices and most of the time there is a huge lag between the crisis and when the price should actually be affected. Fines don't hurt the oil companies it's time for them to serve jail time or prison.
I think this is a matter of national security more so than Iraq. It's time to bring the troops home.

I remember when Bush said that Iraq's reconstruction would come from oil revenues. Like a fool I thought they would pump more crude but no, he jacked up the price. I guess that is one way to get the oil revenues to pay for it.
Go Dubyya! My hero!

How can you all justify being staunch supporters of the baby Bush regime? You're mostly farmers or retired farmers here, economically the "lower middle class." You're the ones that are feeling the pinch from this administration's policies the most! How can you still support this? They're getting fatter and richer off the skin of your back, and yet you still, "Dubbya! Dubbya! He's our man! If he can't do it no one can!"

You can't blame this on the dems in any way shape or form. Things weren't great for guys like you under Clinton, but can you say things are better now? Clinton got a b-job from an office intern. Man things were horrible under him! Under Baby Bush, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, we're fighting a war under false pretenses... Man things are great! Go Bush!

How can you blame 1 person for this. Bush asked to go to war and it was voted on by Rep. and Dem. Not just 1 person. If the Dem. didn't want to go to war then they should have voted no..... .

Because we remember Jimmy Carter?

Maybe it was Al Gore's speech to FFA telling them that they should look to new vocations as agriculture had no future.

Last night on TV, some stations in Atlanta were around $6.00. This morning I here the Governor has passed a gas price gorging bill with a fine of up to $5,000 for gorging.

I was unaware that people were actually gorging on gas. Sheesh! No wonder it's getting scarce! You'd think they'd just save it for their cars.

Getting to the point that you either need to ride a horse or have a propane tractor/truck and figure out how to make a sh!t gas plant.

3 bucks also in St Louis in reply to kfox, 08-31-2005 21:38:12
The libs and Bush bashers think it's W's fault for 9/11 and higher gas prices and now he should have somehow stopped the hurricane! Most of the problem is us, we don't want any refineries near us and like nukes we make it impossible to build one. We drive our SUV to soccer practice and waste gas goofing off. Gas was $.33 cents when I worked at a Texaco station in 1957 so it should be 12 times that now if inflation is added in. Figure it out.
