Hydraulics settle on 300 utility

I have a 300 utility and both the loader and 2pt settle quite fast. I am guessing they both settle 2 feet in 10 minutes or less. What causes this, the pump, the controls, or the cylinders? I did just rebuild all the cylinders.
As always, thanks for the help.

When it happened in to my 300U, I was in the same boat except my cylinder hadn't been rebuilt. I put a ball valve temporarily on the “down” side of the hydraulics, downstream from the controls. This allowed me to isolate the cylinder by closing the valve after I lifted the hitch. In my case, it still slowly dropped so I rebuilt the cylinder and cured it. If you feel comfortable with the recent rebuild of your cylinders, it seems to point to the controls.

They look complicated but they actually don’t have much to them and you can find most of the problem parts—hydraulic o-rings at a good hydraulic store or NAPA and make the gaskets yourself. Sometimes you get lucky and just find crud under the mating surfaces of the controls. BTW: Don’t leave the ball valve in the circuit; after the test, it could burst under a heavy load. Good Luck.
