Going to change the oil on the H I bought yesterday. I've ordered a service manual for it through this website, but will take a few weeks to get it. How many quarts of engine oil is recommened for the H? I'm planning on running straight 30 wt. This tractor won't be used in the really cold weather. Any thoughts?

The H takes 6 quarts of oil. 30wt should be good
too. My manual doesn't state if this includes the
oil filter being changed. The oil level needs to be at the upper check level on the pan. I wouldn't add any additional oil until after you get oil changed and the engine running. Then see if oil will drip from the upper check level. You have enough oil if the oil is at this level. Hal

The book says 6, but that includes the filter.
