Fast hitch to 3 point conversion

Just wondering how much work it is to switch back and forth from a fast hitch to a 3 point hitch?

I'm looking at a tractor that has a fast hitch plow and disc and I already have a 3 point rotary mower and blade and post hole digger.

Is this a 10 minute job to switch back and forth or an hour long job? I would probably only use the plow and disc once a year and would be using the rotary mower and blade once a month or so.

Thanks for any input.

Nathan

I think my adapter is made by speedco and its the easiest three point to use its just like a quick hitch. I`ll post a pic in parts and pieces pics.

I have a two point to three point conversion on two of my IH tractors. It takes me less then five minutes to hook up my three point equipment. Simply pull the drawbar, hook the conversion tongs to your equipment and slide them in place of the drawbar, hook up the toplink and go.

Thanks, I was hoping it wouldn't be a major undertaking.

If I get the tractor I will probably be posting more questions on which kit to buy, etc.

Thanks again! Nathan

IH made a 3pt conversion that works ok. It would allow you to change from 2pt to 3pt in about as much time as it takes to move the tractor to the equipment.

Also depends on the type of 2pt/3pt converter you have. Some get in the way of the PTO.

I had 2pt to 3pt conversion tongs for cat.1 and cat. 2. With cat.1 equipment you may have to use sleeves or bushings on the cat.1 implements. It was no problem to switch from 2pt to 3 pt hitch.
You will need a bracket on the tractor for the top link to connect to.
