The IH Operators Manual for my 826 does not show normal front/rear axle weights (weight distribution), nor maximum axle weights, nor the maximum capacity of the lift arms or maximum mounted implement weight. Is this info in any of the books? If so, which ones. Or, if someone has the numbers, I'd appreciate a look-up.

Jim,

I don't think that in normal service you are ever going to reach those upper limits.

Those tractor puller guys hang so much weight on 'em you'd swear that they would break in two under the strain, but they keep right on goin'. They hang weights on the front, under the belly and off the rear end with no limit in sight.

As far as the weight on the rear hitch, my red guy backs up to another large chassis tractor and lifts it right off the ground to test that hitch. :>)

All I know, is that I've got 1,100 lbs out front and over 1300 lbs at each rear tire and my plow controls the tractor like "the tail waggin' the dog'. :>)

Thanks Allen. It's good to know all that. Still, my blue tractor manuals have that info and I was able to perfectly ballast my little F--d using that information. I got the wheel slip measured and dialed in perfectly without overloading that little tractor and am working to do the same thing with my old 826. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm kinda scientific (and anal!) about how I do stuff. I like to figure it out on paper first and then test it in the field. It's a variation of the automotive stuff I do every day. I ask lots of questions too... sometimes silly ones.. but that's what I do every day also. I do appreciate all the input and knowledge I get from this forum! There's no experience like fieled experience.
