806 I grew up on was turbo charged. Thought they all were. Heard once that the tubos were added aftermarket. What is the truth and how much HP?

Most of the add on turbos were M&W gear co.They recomended to set the pump for 115hp.I ran mine at 130hp.ran many years that way. Some guys put 1206 turbos on their 8's also.

Wonder if they used a 1206 turbo. Sure looks original on Dads. Would they have used a 1206 hood too? The air filter cover looks factory.

The 806 was not turboed from the factory. the turbo version was the 1206, same tractor but with extra lubrication at the pistons.

806's were not turbo'd. it was an add on whether at the dealer or elsewhere. i believe they were around 90 hp stock. from there up the sky is the limit. neighbor has one that he farms with and pulls alot. seen it dyno at 185hp. that is one tough tractor to beat in the 10500-12500 classes!
