Many thanks for all the replies and answers provided me recently on this board as I have been in the shopping mode for an A, B, or C, or Super version of one of them. I have been frequenting the green side of this site as I already have a couple of restored Deere's but lately just got a craving to have a Farmall. I find the folks on this red side of the site to be every bit as helpful and knowledgable as those on the green side. Perhaps there's even more action on this side of the board than on the green!

Anyway, I bit the bullet yesterday and bought a very original, except for an older paint job, '52 Super C. It will allow me several projects before it eventually gets a new shiny coat of Farmall red. I am sure I'll be relying on you folks for more answers as I proceed. Let me tell you in advance that your help will continue to be appreciated.

I have a 51 Super C I am trying to sell that runs perfect, has wide front and all pullies and poor tires. I am in northern Iowa in case you are interested in another one. this one needs paint real badly but runs great.

leon: Welcome aboard, I'm 63 and in all my years still haven't found what I consider the perfect tractor. Now my heyday was the tractors from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Of the 8 to 12 major manufacturers of that era, all of them had at least one feature I liked. Some of them had more than one.

As a farmer I can tell you the tractor was only as good as the dealer support you had, yes that guy right in your hometown, that was there every time you needed parts and service.

By the way I've operated a good number of the tractors built since 1985, still haven't seen a perfect one. In fact most of them have gone down hill, mainly in favour of comfort over efficiency. Comfort is great but it costs big bucks.

You will like that Super C it's a very handy tractor. Our neighbor had a JD (G) and it was very powerful for a two cylinder. That 412 cid
engine was the reason. Hal
