This is my first tractor and don't know much about them so sorry if i ask some stupid questions :) I was wondering if a 1956 International 300 would run a snowblower and if so what size of a blower it would handle.

I've seen brochures of attachments for 300/350Us that include snowblowers, but you are going to have a hard time finding one.I never had much use for snowblowers, they require you go ever so slowly or you will overload the blower fan.

I have seen 3 point models, but they are kind of expensive. BTW - I went to a tractor show today, the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor show. I was looking over a IH 660 with power steering, a utility model, and noticed it had a swept axle like the 300. I crawled underneath, and it uses a double acting cylinder mounted partially to the axle! The tie rods goe down instead of up. I wish I had taken my camera. I think the powersteerin unit off a 460 utility might work. The 660 unit might even work. The front axle looked the same otherwise. Have you looked at the other utilites? Have a nice day!

Sounds like you were looking at a 606. The 660 is a big wheel tractor, definitely not a utility. The International 606 Utility is simular to the International 460 Utility.

Yup! I was wrong.... Used to be hard to admit, but age or being married got me used to it....
