The measurement is from bottom of the the throttle body (no gasket) to the bottom of the float. The H service manual says 1 27/32, the I&T manual says 1 53/64.

The correct float drop is 2 1/8". Measured without the gasket in place.

Thanks!!! Now you got me thinking, is the float height measured with the gasket in place?
