The Churchville Lions Country Fair and Antique Tractor show runs this weekend, Aug 20 & 21.

Saturday features a parade thru town at 11:30, kiddy pedal tractor pull, pie contest and fireworks Sat nite; Sunday a pancake breakfast, 5K run, NATPA antique tractor pull, chicken BBQ etc., etc. Both days feature the antique farm and equipment display (120+ tractors last year), live music, food, chainsaw carving, tractor drawn hayrides, threshing demos, antique tractor demonstrations, and lotsa other stuff.

Show grounds are off NY 33 (Buffalo Rd) at the west end of the village. As always parking and admission are free.

A few pix from the 2004 show are below.

Bob: Where is Churchville in relation to Chili? When leaving you folks on July 1st, and I forget route numbers, we drove north to a two lane road that took us due west into Lockport, and from there north again to highway that took us direct to Lewiston border crossing. We drove through several towns and villages along the way. Just trying to get my bearings, how close would we have come to Churchville.

Don't think I'm going to make it, or anything like that, just wanting to get a handle on the geography for future use.

Hugh - Churchville is about 7 miles west of Chili Center (where we enjoyed lunch with you and Marg). On the map it's the intersection of NY 33 and NY 36, and I-490 exit #2.

Incidentally I took my Minnie Mo and a couple hay wagons over last night. There were already a good 40 tractors lined up in the display area. ...Bob

Bob: We drove right through that intersection. When we left you and Glenda, we went west on 33 to that intersection then north on 36. 31 was the route we took through to Lockport. I say 31 but it was actually a combination of 31 and 31A
