What should be the engine compression for a gas C, engine warmed up, spark plugs out, cranking with the starter?

Under the conditions I first deascrbed, my newly purchased Super C tests at 125 psi, all cylinderd. Good deal!

leon: While I quite agree with scotty, I really wouldn't be contemplating any rebuilds if they are over 100. My big concern would be have all 4 close to the same. Having said that, I can tell you I've run them a long time between 90 and 100, and that was commercial farming.

Leon, In the 120-125 psi range would be very good.
