got the engine unstuck on my M clean the carb drained the gas remove the oil pan cleaned it and put in new gas and oil. ive got spark and can get it to run with a shot of starting fluid but it wont stay running ..any suggestion would be helpful

Don't forget to clean the screen filter at the fuel inlet of the carb also.

Well since you cleaned the carb I would bet you have a clogged fuel line and or clogged sediment bowl.

Make sure you're getting gas to the carburetor.
Remove plug in bottom of carburetor to see if there's fuel in the carb. No fuel, you could have blockage in the tank or gas line. There may be rust or varnish deposits in the tank, gas line and carb and probably needs to be cleaned. Hal

Could be lots of things. I would first clean fuel tank and install a screen (available at TSC) in the top of the sediment bowl where it screws into tank. Then clean carb. etc, etc, etc.
