Hi All,

I am baffled trying to adjust the knife register on a Cub 22 mower. Does the shoe hinge thread onto the coupling bar? It looks like the whole assembly should just slide on the coupling bar once the bolt is loosened. I appreciate any and all advice before I switch from the mallet to the maul!
Thanks alot,
Ken

Yes, it is threaded. I never was able to get mine to turn.

Make sure the cutter bar lead is adjusted first as it can change the register. Adjust the lead by moving the drag bar support in the implement mounting socket.

Once again, the Cub Collectors Site has the answer.

Go to the link below and check our pages 4 and 5. Clivk on the page to enlarge it after it opens.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply. I had a copy of that manual in my hands while attempting to adjust the register. I was confused because there are a few more steps...removing the pitman arm, stay rod etc, to make it so the whole assembly can be spun around the coupling bar... than mentioned in the manual.

Cheers!
Ken
