farmall super c out of time

I have a farmall super C that I just bought it is fully restored but doesn"t run just before I picked it up they were using it and it would run for 15 minutes or so and back fire they changed thw wires and cap and rotor then it wouldn"t start at all I was wondering where to start and what to do Thanks Jonathan

#1 is the top right position then #3 then #4 then #2 from looking towards the radiator. Better get #1 piston on compression top dead center. Have the plug out and look in the hole to make sure you are at the top of the stroke then you can rotate the dist so the rotor is lined up with the terminal on the cap.

Firing order is 1-3-4-2

Looking at the distibutor cap #1 will be at about 5 o'clock(should be marked on the cap). Going CW make sure that the plug wires are in the right order. Give that a try, if that doesn't work your timing is off.
