The left side rear axel bearing seal is leaking a little bit and I think there is a abnormal sound coming from the rear end. I notice the sound when I'm in 5th gear going down the road but it could be just the vibration of the the badly worn rear tires. Maybe I'm just hearing things because I see the small leak. How would I be able to know without taking the cap off and inspecting the bearing?

I've changed two or three outer axel bearings on farmall 460s and they all have developed a leak and made noise before I looked into the problem.

I think I would take a look at that bearing to see if it's starting to fail. It may damage
some other parts. Hal
