Got a 450 farmall that mostly sits. Went to use it this spring and it runs like it has a plugged fuel filter; will run under load for a minute or two and then start missing terribly; let it idle for a couple minutes and it"ll run for another minute under load and then start missing again. Only problem is there is no in line filter; is there a filter integral to the carb? thanks in advance for any help. Mark in MN

I would check the screen where the fuel line screws into the carb. It's a round screen the fits inside the carb before the needle and seat. It also could be the screen in the top of the sediment bowl.

Definately fuel delivery. Shut off the valve at tank, and remove the line going to the carb. There is a screen at this spot if plugged clean it and all the way up streem from there. Fuel should flow freely from the tube into a catch tray or can for a volume of at least a quart every two min. If not it is restricted in the lines or sediment bowl, or the pickup tube in the tank.
Where in MN are you, I am in St. Cloud Email me for a phone number.
