My vote would be for the carb problem. One other thing to check would be the Governor arm. It transfers movement in governor over to the carb to add more fuel when under a load, or if you choose to increase engine speed (throttle)It is located on the front of the engine below the fan shaft behind the generator, sometimes with wear this arm can rub against the fan belt at higher speeds. Just a thought...I would start by cleaning up the fuel supply system. Ripcord

Sounds to me like you got carb problems. Pretty simple to diagnose..

First thing I would do is check the Main Metering Jet- both holes - especially the little one in the end. Run a fine wire through, make sure it is not plugged.

Then check to see if a little choke will help. If so, most likely a air supply problem.

Have you checked the sediment bowl and made sure that there is no junk in the fuel?

Really sounds like a fuel supply issue..if you go to the Cub Manual Server at www.cleancompute.com/Cub/index.html and check out Lurker Carl's Carb Fixes under Maintenance Tips and Techniques, you will probably find the solution to your problem.

Luck

Cheers

First thing that comes to mind in this order is points, plugs, timing, bad fuel, carb adjust, fuel filter, air filter. With it happening after warming up it could be a coil going bad. I"m all for looking at bad points first. Of course if it has a mag I would look at that first.
