Send it to MagMan, he has them covered. Ask him on here, or look up his Email.

You need to check how your mag is grounded when the engine is shutoff. That could be your problem
for no spark. They could use a switch or a rod
that would ground out your mag. You need to inspect the mag for this. If a switch is used
an ohm meter can be used to see if the wire is grounded on one side of the switch. One position
could be the start position and the other to ground the mag. You don't use ignition voltage
with a mag. With battery ignition when you shut
off the ignition switch it kills the voltage to the points and coil. The mag is always grounded.
That's just used when stopping the engine. Good Luck, Hal

If you're planning to pull that mag off the tractor, you need to make a note of where the rotor is pointing before you pull the mag. Do not move the engine once you have the mag off. When you're ready to reinstall the mag you set the rotor where it was pointing when you remove
the mag. This will keep your mag in time. Hal

Yes, you can check the continuity through the coil. It is best if you disconnect the condenser again, then measure from the coil wire that connects to the condenser both to ground and to the high voltage connection on the coil (or to the connector on the coil cover). You should see very low resistance through either test. If you show an open, the coil will need to be replaced.

Had similar problem on 2 Hs. Had mag rebuilt and never had another problem starting and they both turned over real slow.

Run a point file through those new points to make sure there's no coating on them. Did you have fire before installing all those new parts? Did you remove the mag to change these parts? Hal

Could be a bad coil. Hal

Is it a magneto or distributor? If it has a coil, check the voltage when the points are closed (should be near zero) and open (should be near battery voltage on the input side). Probably something is grounded or has a bad connection between the points and the battery.
