and ran into a a little snag. I dont have the two studs needed for the bearing retainer, are these like a normal everyday deal or will I have to find somebody that has them off of a junker? Also, what oil do I put in the unit? Thanks!

I use 30 wt in mine and it woeks fine. Granted I don't have anything hooked to it, the boy and I just watch it go back and forth in amazement(it doesn't take much to entertain us). I also didn't have the studs for mine. I think I remember just taking one of the bolts that was in the cap to the parts store and getting a couple of studs.

I think it should be non-detergent

Thats exactly what I did! Seems to be working fine, but has a pause about 1/2 way through the cycles, may just need more oil. Im goign to have to pull the big part back off later and replace the tranny top, this one was busted and patched,if you recall, and the unit doesnt clear it enough, sits kinda tilted, so I guess the top is next this fall, too derned hot to think about it now. Glad I have the extra top, I knew one day Id need it. Gotta get it done though, got to get use to sitting on it a little lower!!
