Does anyone know a good way to tell the difference between a 300 utitlity tractor and 350
utility tractor if the serial plate has been removed?

The 300 had an ignition switch with the starter engagement included in the same switch, the 350 had a seperate key and a starter button. The steering wheel on 300 was much like a H & M wheel the 350 was a later wheel much like the 450's and on up. The clutch pedal was changed in the 300 production & you could get a up date package for older ones.

stifmon has the correct answer. A dumb answer is that the 350 has a white grill and the 300 is red. Also it"s according to whether it says 300 or 350 on the side emblom. Also the 300 clutch pivots from the front and the 350 clutch pivots from the rear near the brake. :)

The 350 has 175 cubic inch engine, the 300 has 169 cu inch engine. This can be viewed from the foot petal(2) brake side, look imediately under the #1 spark plug. It will be stamped into the block.
