we are working on a smta hand crank spring and retainer.

1. can a guy punch the pin that holds the shaft to the crank ratchet out from underneath?? hate to pull the motor.

2. can we get the spring, retainer and snap ring anywhere? IH does not have them.

thanks

Hummmm, I just took one apart on an H. don't know why you couldn't just cut the retainer ring with a torch and then the pin should just fall out. You could put a stainless steel clamp around it to hold it next time. I don't think you even need to take the snap ring off.

there is no retainer or snap ring there. the darn thing keeps going in and out with vibration dinging the crank pully every now and again. don't know how the pieces disappeared, but would like to get it working with little damage..
