Any tricks to taking wheel off Farmall A to get tire fixed. Tire is old, but seemingly still solid. Guessing the tube has went bad as it leaks where stem comes out of rim. Is changing tubes on one of these a DIY chore or something that should go to a shop? Thanks in advance.
Stan

Liquid filled? You might just have a bad valve center. The center part screws right out and can be purchased at any ag tire store for less than 5 bucks. Don't recall exactly what they call it, but the guy at the tire store will know.

Link Here you go, this should give you a good start on getting a handle on it yourself if you wish to tackle it.

My friend is a tire man. He always leaves the rims on the tractor. Can change a rear tire in less time then it takes me to remove the rim from the tractor. He makes it look easy, but he does it every day..... ..... .

I fix them myself but don't take the wheel off the tractor, front or back. They are easy to work with on the tractor. Get somebody to show you how. Tier repair in inexperienced hands can be fatal.

Especially when you leave the tire on the tractor.

Just today I had a pro come to the farm and switch out 2 tires and rims on my 300U. He left rims on tractor and he was done start to finish in less than 30 minutes. With just hand tools. One bead breaker(duckbilled hammer) and 2 three foot bars. He"s been doing it for 30 years and he takes one side of the tire off the rim before he breaks the bead on the inside. He says having the outside bead off helps pull the inside bead. GL
