I"ve got an H with a straight blade (not moveable) and a 47 cub. I need to move snow. There are a couple push blades available for around $400 for the cub. Any suggestions on what to use for the H? What is the best all-purpose loader for the H if I were to start looking for one?

Does that Paulson loader have a trip bucket or hyd? I think the H is probably the better choice, now I just have to fabricate a solution. I've got an angle plow off an old truck that could be welded up to some loader arms perhaps? Does anyone have any photos of their H with a plow they could share?
I'm in Wisconsin, but our winters haven't been too snowy lately. Last year I only removed snow a few times.

Trip bucket on the loader. I prefer it to a plow as the drifts get deep and the trees line the road.

I use an H with a snow plow frame and a manually angled, hyd lift blade - calcium chloride filled tires plus one set of weights plus chains. Never had a problem. Haven't faced one with the H yet but one year we got a 17" snowfall. I know that's piddlin' compared to what some forum participants face but I got an H so it could handle something that heavy. What is the heaviest snowfall you imagine facing? For most of our snowfalls, a cub may have been a better choice for me but I do other work for which I'm grateful for the heavier tractor.

I use an H with a Paulson loader. I seem to get by with one set of rear wheel weights and tire chains. It does the job clearing the drive and a 500 ft road every winter. I'm looking forard to enjoying the new padded seat pan I put on this year. That cold steel seat was too much of an eye opener first thing in the morning.

I use an H Farmall, equipped with the McCormick #31 loader which was made for an H or M. I am using a more or less home made blade on the loader, the blade does not swivel, but still gets the job done. I have two sets of rear wheel weights on the H, plus a set of tire chains. This outfit has always done an excellent job for me, I have never felt that I needed anything bigger or more modern.
