Utility Tractor with loader

Well, I am very happy with my M and I have ended up using it quite a bit more than I would have expected. Brush hogging, blading my driveway, etc.

Now I've got the itch to get a tractor with a loader on it. I've been looking for something fairly small with a loader in the "under $4,000" category and can't seem to find anything locally. I've seen some 300 Ute's in the $3k range but without a loader. I want live hydraulics and would like to have a 3 point so I could use that tractor for road work and the loader and use my M for field type work with the mower and possibly in the future discing and stuff like that.

I really don't need a loader tractor, but talking with friends they said that I would be amazed at all the things I would find to use it for if I had one. I am not sure about putting a loader on the M but have thought about that option as well. I live on 42 acres and my driveway is about 1,500' long.

Any recommendations other than be patient and keep my eyes open? Should I stick with Red or be open to look at other brands?

Thanks for any input.

Nathan

I own a 300 Utility, but would not necessarily recommend putting a loader on one. The steering gears are notoriously substandard (to put it kindly), and as a result are becoming hard to find. And with non-power steering, you just about need a pipe wrench to turn the blasted thing -- until the gears fail, of course.

If I were looking for a loader tractor, I think I'd look somewhere else.

If I where you I'd look at all the colors. But I do have a lot of colors when it comes to tractors. The 300U will probably have live hyds and live pto but they do have a problem with steering being hard and if you put a loader on you will want power steering.
