After a 10 month full restoration on my 1939 M farmall I am finally finished, well almost, I am looking for a seat assembly for it, the one that is held on with one big bolt and sit's in the groove of the rearend plate. my question is 39 the only year they used this kind of seat assembly and did the H'S use the same? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also in need of the same thing, I have a fairly low serial number 39 M. I have heard of a place that rebuilds them but not cheap. I think they are getting about $400. I have seen some after market adjustible seat that was made and happen to know were one is. I am thinking about getting that for first time I can find the right seat for it. They were used for 1939 and early part of 1940. Paul

Yep, my '40 M has the same seat as well. Mine had so much sloppy welding on it from years of who-know-what, that I ended up fabricating a new base. I've got pics if you want 'em.
