Have an old IH 504 utility.
Question 1: Where can I find the serial number?
Question 2: How many gallons of hydraulic fluid does the transmission hold?

Thanks,
Dan

on my 504 ind., the serial # is on the right side of the bell housing next to the oil filter housing. so....if your looking at oil filter, it would be just to the left of that. as far as the hyd. capacity, mine holds apx. 13 gallons with a new filter. i dont think the filter would matter much as the filter case drains almost all the way down when you drain trans. the engine serial # on a gas should be on the block just above the dist. cap. not sure wher that one is on a diesel. good luck
