Has anyone else on this board been victimized by attempted fraud from Yahoo.uk.com. Let's talk and catch these guys.

I sent a guy a $600 postal MO for a 35# tool on ebay and it never arrived. He sent it uninsured unbeknownst to me and had a deliver confirmation on it so the post office inspector said that proved he sent it. I don't know how he pulled that off but I think he figured out a way for it to never arrive and was a box of bricks. Either that or the post office can steal anything they want without retribution. Needless to say I roasted him on his feedback and in return he did it to me too.

a few weeks ago I had a rash of yahoo.uk guys wanting me to sell for them on ebay. It sure looked fishey to me as they were not even registered users. I suspect there is little we can do to stop them. People can post to the internet from other countrys, even off-shore. And I'm sure with just a little computer knowledge they can be right here in good old USA and appear off-shore

I wouldn't know, but a person can only be victimized if he allows it to happen, in other words don't deal with questionable people ---

Not this board, but on others I have been "propositioned" Beware of any offer wanting you to wire money, or if you sell an item, all of a sudden the buyer has some "emergency" and wants you to wire the money back - sometimes a check will appear to clear, but then the bank will find a problem, unless you know someone, best to deal in USPS money orders, if there is fraud involved the postal service goes after the s.o.b.
