I have a customer looking for the gauges for a 560 he is restoring and wants me to find gauges that have the IH logo on the face.

Where do I look? Stiener only has 1 gauge and we need everything including the tach.

Thanks,
Jerry B

Try Justin Weber for the tach - he had several new ones at the Round-up. www@weberstractorworks.com or phone (618)783-4102. His email address is: wtw@webersractorworks.com. As others have said OEM has the guages I think you are looking for and they appear to be same as the originals. Contact OEM at 1-800-283-2122. Hope this helps.

Exactly one week ago I bought a temp gauge for a 54 SMTA at the local IH Dealer. It was 25.oo less money than all the AFTER MARKET OUTLETS. And it had the exact correct face. Why not have your "customer" get on the board and find his own gauges? Get involved with his own tractor. Maybe learn something else on the way?

Well when I say customer I mean a customer. The guy called and wanted replacement gauges with IH on the face. He said the IH dealer didn't have them. I called the dealer in the next county and placed and order to be sent here to the company. The faces have SW on them.

The parts counter guy put me in charge of getting the guagesa and told me to hunt them down. I know of several places (none of the other guys know how to search for such things) that list gauges but they too did not have IH on the face.

My frustration was getting the better of me as I set here with sweat running down my back and face and I was about to give up when I tried you guys. Un fortunately my frustration was more than apparent when I read the first response.

30+ years of messing with old tractors and trucks has taught me to check with the dealer first on such items. If he ain't got it then the hunt is on.

Thanks guys and sorry for the outburst.

Your local Case-IH dealer will have them in stock.

NO, HE DOESN'T. AND NO, HE CAN'T GET THEM.

His gauges have the correct IH number but the face says SW for Stewart-Warner.

That is why I am asking you guys.

Gee, JerryB nice of you to yell. The fellow made a reasonable response to the question as you posed it. Not his fault you weren't comprehensive when stating your problem. Seems to me you got more help than you deserve. Dick Davis

Okay then, sorry I gave that answer but that's where I get mine, and they do have the IH logo on them.

I purchased mine from OEM. According to their catalog, they purchase their aftermarket guages from the same manufacturer that originally made them for IH. They also have glass faces, which some of the others do not.

I'm finding this more and more - Case / IH dealers showing parts "retired". (Like my tractor is old or sump'thn.
Check the link above to O.E.M. - they're good folks and have the stuff. As accurate as you can get for restoration - not sure on the tach (tractormeter) but I've seen them at other websites.

The tractormeter can be restored at Bates Corporation. Not sure if they can get you one if you don't have the "blank".
