That chrome rod is connected to a flat plate called a cam. The movement of the cam makes oil go to the servo cylinders that move the swash plates. That cam is made to pivot on a single bolt. Nothing really down there to freeze up. And if it is under the chrome shaft it's beyond us fixing it. I would check the chrome shaft if a piece of gravel or something is keeping that part from moving. There is a bushing around that shaft. (No valve in that part of trany.)

Need more info. Will the tractor go forward. I think the rod goes down for forward. Make sure there is not something restricting movement of your lever you move. (leaves, nest, etc.) Probably something wrong in lower valve. If I'm wrong and down is reverse, clean area around chrome shsft on top of valve. I know you said it's froze up, so all this is probably fornot.

With the rod hooked up it wont let you move the handle but when you unhook it the tractor goes forward fine. Is it a BIG to get this valve out?? Thanks for help
