Hi Hugh, all of Nova Scotia and Canada can be proud of Sidney Crosby from Cole Harbour N.S.
Very impressed with this talented young man. Couldn't have happened at a better time for NHL.
See him live on Leno show Thrs. night.

My appologies for this off topic post but maybe Sidney will promote CNH someday or have a picture taken on an old IH.

JB2: Well you drew out the YT hockey expert in Mike Solden. In fact I thought Mike must be away on a trip around the globe, he has been so quiet lately.

As for my hockey expertize, I had never heard tell of Sidney Crosby until last week. Hockey lost me as a fan probably 35 years ago. As I see it there are probably enough Crosby's, Gretzky's and How's for about a 12 team league across North America. I do believe this has been proved this past year. The excitment created by teams like the London Knights, may just be the straw that broke the camel's (NHL's) back.

As for Cole Harbour, certainly glad to hear one of her native sons is doing quite well. Cole Harbour is only now turning out it's first generation of native sons on mass. I can remember going to Cole Harbour when it was a rural farm community, from Lloyd Eisener's on Cole Harbour Rd. 10 pm you could see 4 farmstead lights. In 40 years it has become one of the most dencly populated areas in Canada. Oh, Lloyd's still there, growling about all the influx of people and the money he made on the the old farm real estate.

JB2, I watched the Oceanic in London Ontario at the Memorial Cup, Sidney Crosby was the Oceanic team, a talented player who will be one day be one of the NHL greats. The London Knights won the Memorial Cup because of their deep strenghth in all facets of the game. The Rimouski Oceanic had only one line that could match the Knights and that was Crosby's line, a threat every time they were on the ice. It was one of the best Memorial Cups I have ever watched, I am glad for Sidney, at 17 he is already rich with the endorsments he has signed and his hockey earnings will no doubt make him a millionaire many times over, a great kid..proud to be a Canadian hockey fan, Mike in Exeter Ontario
