We just got an IH 46 Baler w/ no manual and need help w/ the timing. Does anyone know anything about that or know where I can get the info.

I have the IH 27 baler which has the same knotters. If you need some info on this area let me know and I can scan the pages in and send to you.

Hi George, the timing was all done by gear boxes and shaft drive. So should not be out of time unless gear box was opened. Other vendors had drive chains that had to be timed.
There were 3 shear bolts, one in PTO to flywheel connect, another on sweep fork, another on the knotter to needle drive lever. There was timing in the knotters for bill hook and twine disk.

Where do you think yours is out of time?
